Based on a real story has ever happened in the 1800s in Tennessee, An American Haunting tells the story of the revenge of a ghost for the Bell rich family. This ghost has haunted the Bell family's daughter and also caused the death of a family member. In American history, this is the only case that the death of a person who has been recognized as caused by a soul of a ghost.
