The Serpent and the Rainbow

Dennis Alan, an ethnobotanist and anthropologist from Harvard University is financed by a large pharmaceutical corporation to go to Haiti and investigate a drug used in the Voodoo religion of Haiti to create zombies. But once there, he realizes that the practitioners and the locals will do anything to prevent him from learning their secrets.
