My Beautiful Laundrette

Set in the mid-80s in a London Pakistani community, Omar takes over the running of his wheller-dealer Uncle's launderette. He hires his childhood friend Johnny, who are also the leader of a street gang, to work with him and the two develop a relationship. After many attempts, they successfully bring a bright future to the laundrette. But things get more complicated when the anger of Johnny's gang increases and Omar is forced to face increasingly difficult family issues.
