The World of Apu

Apu is a young unemployed man who doesn't go to university since he cannot afford it. He writes novels based on his life and dreams that one day, they will be published. When he joins his friend to attend the wedding of Aparna which was arranged 15 years ago, he sees her groom refuse to marry her. To save Aparna from a life of loneliness and disgrace under Indian custom, Apu decides to marry her.
