Dr. Annie Watson is pregnant and she moves to live with her best friend, Dr. Belinda Owens, so that Belinda can monitor her until she gives birth. Annie's mother-in-law, Mary, a seen-it-all midwife comes along with her. Belinda, who only trusts her scientific knowledge, finds herself in conflict with homeopathic remedies and folksy wisdom of Mary.
