Years ago, Doctor Parmassus, who has the ability of guiding imaginations of others, had a bet with a devil, Mr. Nick, that who won 5 souls first would be the owner of his daughter - Valentina's soul when she turned 16. When Parmassus and his theatre troupe try to save Valentina, they accidentally save Tony, who helps them to remodel the show to be more attractive.
