Continuing the last season's finale, CBI has arrested Red John's associate, Lorelei Martins, only to have her taken from them by the FBI. Cult leader Bret Stiles gives a hand to Jane to break Martins out of prison, so that she can reveal who Red John truly is. It is not easy for Lorelei to unfold her master's true identity, but she also tells Jane that they have met before. Her info helps Jane to draw himself a list of possible suspects for Red John. By the end of the season, the list is cut down to just seven names.
