The series is about a relationship between Austin Moon - a singer and songwriter Ally Dawson. One of them is out-going when the other have stage fright condition. Austin recorded one of Ally's song secretly, make a music video out of it and post in on the Internet. Later, the song becomes famous leading to Ally and Austin decide to team up and start developing a music career of their own.
