Danny Burton is a 34-year-old carefree single guy who has witnessed most of his friends move on to serious relationships. When his last remaining friend Shannon moves out for marriage, Danny starts seeking for a new roommate. And when taking Dustin - a reserved, polite nature bar owner on as a roomate, he unwittingly encounter Justin's group of romantically challenged friends: nerdy Burski, oddball Shelly, and recently out-of-the-closet gay guy Brett - who form a perfect group The Undateables! Considering himself as the ultimate player, Danny finds himself responsible for teaching the crew everything he knows about "the game of love."
